Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to use sendalo.de easily – with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or on a phone. This statement applies to the website sendalo.de in its German and English versions (sendalo.de/en/) and to the application at app.sendalo.de (the workspace for agencies and businesses, the client portal, login, beta access, appointment booking and links for approvals and reports), also in German and English. Last updated: 23 October 2026.
Which requirements we follow
We follow the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz, BFSG) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, conformance level AA.
Compliance status
The website and the application largely, but not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.2 AA (“partially conformant”). The known limitations are listed below.
How we tested
Self-assessment by us, without an external testing body, most recently on 23 October 2026:
- Automated: axe-core 4.11 on every page in both languages, at 1440 and 390 pixels wide, in light and dark mode – including with tabs, plan finder, tool calculator, preview and menu opened.
- Application, automated: axe-core 4.11 on around 100 pages (agency workspace, client portal and the application’s public pages) in both languages, in light and dark mode.
- Manual: full keyboard operation (live demo, mini calendar, chat example, tool calculator, plan finder, FAQ, monthly/yearly switch, mobile menu), visible focus that isn’t hidden, target sizes, zoom to 200% and display at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling, the “reduce motion” setting, heading order, link texts, form field labels and contrast.
What we do
- Every feature can be used with a keyboard; dragging in the mini calendar also works by tapping or pressing Enter.
- Motion: rotating keywords, the short videos and the chat example can be stopped with “Pause animations”. If “reduce motion” is set in your system, they don’t run at all.
- The product video has no sound. A text description (“What the video shows”) is provided below the video.
- In the application: a skip link to the content, dialogs that manage focus and close with Esc, status messages for screen readers, keyboard alternatives to dragging (calendar, queue, media order) and text alternatives for charts. Each person can choose their language; emails are sent in the recipient’s language.
- Light and dark mode with checked contrast; the language of each page and of links in another language is marked up.
Known limitations
- Website chat: the chat window is loaded from our application (app.sendalo.de) and was not tested separately for this statement. You can also reach us by email at hallo@sendalo.de.
- Application, manual testing: so far the application has been tested automatically and by manual spot checks. A complete manual check of every workflow with keyboard and magnification is still outstanding. Some confirmations (e.g. for ads and analytics) still use the browser’s own dialogs.
- User content: texts, images and videos that agencies and clients upload or write themselves (e.g. without an image description) are outside our control.
- Product video: the text shown in the video is in German only; the English page has the text description in English.
- Screen readers: we have not yet systematically tested with real screen readers (e.g. NVDA, VoiceOver); the basics (labels, roles, order) were checked automatically and by hand.
- Wide tables: the platform overview, the plan comparison and the list of sub-processors can be scrolled sideways on narrow screens (also with the keyboard).
- Easy-to-read language and sign language: there is no content in easy-to-read language or sign language yet.
- English legal texts: they are translations; only the German version is legally binding.
Our service in brief
Sendalo is a browser-based social media tool for businesses: schedule and publish posts, answer messages in one inbox, collect approvals in the client portal and let people book appointments. The website provides information about it; the service itself is used in the application at app.sendalo.de.
